Conference Booth POAPs
Guidelines on dropping POAPs at a booth during an event.
Distribute a POAP at your conference booth so visitors walk away with a collectible that commemorates the time they met your team and learned about your product or community! Getting to mint your POAP is a fun and interactive experience and a great ice-breaker to dive into longer, more meaningful conversations.
After collectors mint your POAP, they are connected by the shared memory of visiting your booth. These connections increase loyalty and engagement. Link to your social handles or website in the POAP description fields to make it easy for people to stay in touch.
Once the Curation Body verifies you have followed the Issuer Guidelines and your POAP is approved, each individual booth is allowed up to 200 POAPs to distribute per conference free of charge. Booths wishing to distribute more than 200 POAPs in a single conference can do so for a fee.
- Plan ahead; get the art and copy ready at least one week before your event and submit your POAP to the Curation Body for review.
- Choose a creative design that is eye-catching and showcases what your brand is all about.
- Don’t promise your POAP to everyone who visits your booth. POAPs are precious collectibles!
Anyone who wishes to make more meaningful, deeper connections and provide a moment of delight to booth visitors!
The simplest and most secure methods are POAP Kiosk or an NFC-chip enabled IYK card or disk. You can also print unique QR codes and attach them to other swag. Don’t print a static QR code that could be scanned repeatedly to mint multiple POAPs (this method won’t get approved by the Curation Body anyway!)
Once the Curation Body verifies you have followed the Issuer Guidelines and your POAP is approved, each individual booth is allowed up to 200 POAPs to distribute per conference free of charge. Booths wishing to distribute more than 200 POAPs in a single conference can do so for a fee.
POAPs are precious digital collectibles; precious items do not have an infinite, free supply. Their value is derived from the knowledge that someone went the extra mile to make something happen. For drops that may benefit commercially, charging for POAPs aligns incentives so that they are only minted for moments that communities really want to remember.
